ArcLight's Pets

The white one is a Manx named Vampi. She was my baby. She was so tiny when we first got her. The black one is Desi. She adopted the family while we were in South Carolina. Vampi had been the only cat for several years before that so she was thrilled with the new resident. This was the first time I ever caught them this close to each other being relatively civil. Vampi jumped off the couch when she realized she'd been caught not hissing at Desi.

This is Rockford, a huge tomcat from North Carolina. We were one of his families. He'd come to us weighing about ten pounds, stay for a few weeks until he was back up to his fighting weight of around 15-20 pounds and then go back out for a bit. We tried to take him with us when we moved on base but he didn't take to the idea very well so we left him at the trailer park. He'd done well before we ever came across him so I imagine he did okay afterwards.

This is Lassie. Technically she belonged to my grandparents, but when we visited, she was all mine. Such a sweetie. If you'd shake her paw ('give her howdy') she was happy.

This baby lived on base around the dining hall for a few months. Pet her and she'd drool all over you. Guess she had to be friendly, because with any luck we'd bring food out for her. And of course, we did.

Short Circuit

Short Circuit lives at Mom's house. Here he patiently waits for dinner.
