Jake

Jake belongs to a friend. Sad Update: 14 March 2007: Jake passed away a little while back.

Tweaker used to belong to a friend. She had to send him to a new home.

Tweaker
Casey

Casey. My mom's husband's parent's cat. Or something like that.

Made another trip to the pet store.

Just good friends...

Vampi's the white Manx. Desi is the other cat. Vampi wasn't thrilled to have Desi join the family. This was the first time I saw them this close to each other without Vampi hissing at Desi as soon as she realized someone else was in the room.

This is Rockford, a huge tomcat from North Carolina. We were one of his families. He'd come to us weighing about ten pounds, stay for a few weeks until he was back up to his fighting weight of around 15-20 pounds and then go back out for a bit. We tried to take him with us when we moved on base but he didn't take to the idea very well so we left him at the trailer park. He'd done well before we ever came across him so I imagine he did okay afterwards.

This is Lassie. Technically she belonged to my grandparents, but when we visited, she was all mine. Such a sweetie. If you'd shake her paw ('give her howdy') she was happy.

This baby lived on base around the dining hall for a few months. Pet her and she'd drool all over you. Guess she had to be friendly, because with any luck we'd bring food out for her. And of course, we did.

Short Circuit

Short Circuit lives at Mom's house. Here he patiently waits for dinner.
Sad Update: July 29, 2004: After around 15 years, Short Circuit recently passed away and has joined, well, pretty much all the other kitties on this page. He's missed.

From a semi-local zoo-type place I went to visit.

Snoopy

This is Snoopy. One of the sweetest dogs ever (unless you're petting Gretchen). Sad Update:Snoopy has passed away.

This is Gretchen, the one-eyed wonder dog. Sad Update: Gretchen is no longer with us anymore, either.

And this is Baby Girl - Snoopy and Gretchen's new yard-mate.

This guy(?) stopped to watch me take a picture.
