Rock You Like A Hurricane
Okay, we shouldn't be hit too hard by the hurricane. Probably not much more than a lot of rain, which we can get without some big swirly storm coming in from the ocean.
Just in time for the county fair, tho, which makes sense. Legend has it the fair was cursed by gypsies sometime back so every year it rains during the thing. Don't be messin' with the gypsies.
Meanwhile we once again got screwed out of a holiday weekend at work. Second shift always gets the shaft by the idiots in charge. First shift got the three days off for the July 4th weekend and we were told we'd get the Labor Day weekend. Luckily, no one was dumb enough to really believe them. Still stinks. They're just jealous because we get so much more done than they do. A quick look at some raw numbers shows that second shift averages about 85% of the work in about half the man-hours with a third the people. Probably because first shift spends so much time whining about piddly little things we're supposed to have done whereas we just come in, clean up the crap they leave and then get to work.
Do I sound bitter?
