Greetings,
Hey all. Greetz to the new folks. Hope all are well.
One heck of a holiday weekend, eh?
Fourth of July, the Mars landing, 50th anniv. of the Roswell
crash, 'Men In Black' opened....
Okay, the last may be a stretch in the grand scheme of things,
but I liked it. Particularly the 'Godzilla' preview beforehand.
No BB on TV this week near as I can tell.
Relayer, our resident Electric Head, has started toying with
a nifty bit of software called Virtual Places. Anytime you're
on the web, anywhere on the web, you can search out others with
the software and start up a chat.
Check Relayer's message below for more details.

Later...

1. The Registry is now fixed and will send entries again.
It was down in the crash. The midi is still out.

2. Regarding the Chat Room... it's only open when someone
invokes it at the Station; it is not a permanent channel.

A better solution, and more interesting, is the Virtual Places
software that allows you to turn ANY web page into a chat room.
It runs pretty well and it's slim; a plug-in for Netscape, IE
and Mac too. Sits in the corner of your screen while you surf
the web like a personal Go-phone; you can use a locator to
search for friends using the software... i like this better;
mine's on all the time now. If you're on the web, and using
this software, search for "relayer"...

i set up a quiet background page featuring the large comic gif,
without the flashing kanji or banners, at the Station for avatars
to hang out and talk Cavalierly.
Use the "Communications" icon (BB on the monitor) from the main
menu to access the chats. There are also numerous TABB avatars,
bundled in a zipfile for downloading.

regards,
relayer

<< ArcLight sez: I've also added a chat page to the World
Watch OnLine site, which links to the software, and Relayer's
page where you can d/l loads of BB avatars to use.
BBI Joe Bob says 'Check it out.'
Once you've got it, search out Relayer and myself,
ArcLight, and say "Hi." Let Relayer and/or me know you're
using it so we can add your handle to the BBI list on our
VP pages, too. >>

Just noticed this over the weekend:

In _Max Mad Beyond Thunderdome_, one of the bad guys uses
the classic line "Wherever you...".

Move along, nothing to see here..

Hey there,

I'm a B. Banzai fan since 1984. I've even run a
couple of Banzai fanclubs over the years. I was
an early subscriber to World Watch One, I sent
away for the Press Kit, I've even seen the bootleg
with the extra footage. That said, I can't seem
to get enough. When will the Banzai glut end?
Here's hoping to see some movement on that license
issue soon.

Just got on to the B. Banzai website for the first
time - this is so cool !!!
As for background, I first got into Team Banzai after seeing
the movie in the theaters on it's initial release, and have
been a huge fan since ( down to my on-line name incorporating
"Perfect Tommy" ). Not much time for much more right now,
but PLEASE put me on the e-mail list, and PUT ME ON THE LIST OF
THOSE WHO WANT TO SEE A SEQUEL !!!

Don't be mean...

Please add me to the BB mailing list.

A long time ago I remember being entranced by the film, and
subsequently managed to subscribe to the *paper* version of
World Watch One. I even accidentally got two copies of the
first issue shipped to me. This meant I was lucky enough to
get two of those tin BB badges that were included in the package.
Always one to help those in need, I later gave my extra copy
to a friend when the World Watch One bulletins stopped being
produced.

Keep up the nice work on the web!

-brian

Hello! Just found your list in an AOL search, and would
like to belong for a time. Buckaroo is one of my top five
all time favorite SF movies and I'd be interested in hearing
from people who also like it, since I can't find anyone
in person who even saw it.

Also in top5 are, in no particular order (and for no good reason)
Plan 9, Oddysey, Forbiddden Planet, Fantastic planet, and
Planet of the Apes.

O.k, nobody said I could count.
