We have a group of Irregulars on the East Coast that have formed a second
band of members. We did this in 1989 before we knew anyone else out there was
enthralled with the Banzai Ideals. We named ourselves the Tokyo Knights. our
goal is to open a real Banzai Institute for the Arts and Global
Communication. The tenants behind the institute is to promote art which
enhances communication which leads to the advancement of peace, understanding
and technology. Active members include Weasle, Stripe, Bake, The Professor,
Perfect (myself), and about 15 others spread around the east coast. The five
people named were teh originals. Since then we nominate a new person (no one
has been turned down) and give them a "Baptism by Fire" (if you want to know
what that is, come to western PA some time and we'll show you...). We are
always looking for new members and more friends. Please E-mail me...
Also, someone mentioned having a copy of the script for the World Crime
League...if you know who this person is, we have some financial backers that
would like to review it for possible investment/production...let me know
Time to go home...
Perfect

hi!

another reference popped up...
in "Earth Girls Are Easy", at the very end, as the alien's pod
takes off (Jeff Goldblum is in this film also)
look at the bottom of the screen; you will see
the top half of the Fathership! I just caught this one.
It's only there for a couple of frames, but it IS the Fathership!

hi all...
this is RELAYER, custodian for the
Banzai Institute of Biomechanical Engineering...

if any of you have additional computer material that is
not included in the Institute's pages, please send it
to me- relayer@annex.com - for the entertainment of
other BBI's everywhere...

and you might like to know that since i put the counter up
in MARCH, Blue Blaze Station #23 has had over
11,000 visitors!

now - these are HONEST HITS. You may notice that i put the counter
in the conference room... this is to negate hits on the main
page by robots, web spiders and the like; only those who go
past the main page are counted. You may see "over 10,000 hits daily" on
some pages, but those are mostly 'bot hits.
11,000 in 3 months is pretty respectable. So with this groundswell
of support and web activity, we may yet see "BB VS WCL" a reality...

also, if we can work out transmission glitches, we may be seeing
some NEW BBI fan fiction at the Institute soon!

i will BE ON VACATION during May and part of June so PLEASE don't
be bummed if i do not reply right awqay! Also, some addresses sent to me
are having return problems, most notably compuserve addresses.
The routers don't seem to like those long numbered addresses...
so if you haven't gotten at least a "thank you for your letter"
note, bear with me...

anyways, keep surfin', and
BANZAI!!!!

Chris,
well, I wanted first to answer your curiosity as to who my
favorite HOng Kong Cavalier is. I really like Perfect Tommy. Aside from
the fact that he had cool outfits and was just one suave looking boy, I
like to watch him try to play the cool guy, try to pretend like nothing
touches him...while knowing all along that he is faking it. I love how,
one minute, he is very calm, kicked-back, and the next he is being told
not to call in any strike teams. He is described, in the literature one
can find, as a chameleon, as being a blend of many different aspects and
extremes. Which reminds me alot of myself. Also, all the stuff about him
being a bit of a smart mouth (i love, for some reason, the scene in the
film at the press conference, where the Secretary says he imagines they
didn't all come to listen to him. And Tommy just deadpan says "you're
right.") and maybe being a bit of a trouble maker in his past is something
I identify with...Okay, enough on that.

Dear all,

I have too much to recount in this small amount of time, so I guess I'd
better get started.

My first experience with TAOBB was buying it on a whim as a discount tape
from a client of my father's. I didn't watch it until a friend was over and
decided to stick the movie in my VCR. I'm sad to say, I didn't like it when I
first saw it. I didn't like it, I didn't understand it, and didn't want to.

Until the second time I watched it.

After the third time, I was hooked. I now PROUDLY own T-shirts, the movie
poster, the novel, patches, and even a box full of spinner toys "Watch
Buckaroo Go Through The Mountain!".

I have much more to expouse on Buckaroo's philosphy, friends, ideals, and how
the character lead me to his progenetor Doc Savage. Unfortunatly, those will
have to wait until another time.

Yours in faith,
-Jason (Buckaroo88@aol.com)

Greetings fellow BBI's:

This is great! I have always LOVED the movie, but didn't know to
call myself a BBI, and now I've got a bunch of 'fellow' BBI's!!!
Anyway, hate to seem obvious, But NJ is my favorite after
Buckaroo... Even though my friends did (and occasionaly still do) call me
'Perfect Tommy' after the movie came out. (Great friends, but not really
that inventive...)
Anyway, The reason for this missive (other than a general invite to
e-mail me!) is that I noticed people complaining that they couldn't find the
video... Blockbuster has it, for 29.99.. I just ordered my third copy from
them...
If anyone has any locations on the book, I'd be appreciative... Lost
my only copy when I lent it to my nephew in 1992, and his house burned down
(Hmm... Come to think of it, he just broke my last copy of the video, too...
Gotta stop lending that kid my stuff!)
Thanks for everything, and hope to hear from the rest of you...

                           (NOT Perfect) Tommy
